WHERE OUR STORY BEGINS
A diving legacy shaped in Thunder Bay.
After Thunder Bay hosted the 1981 Canada Summer Games, a new aquatic facility opened and a new club took flight. For more than four decades, TBDC has introduced generations to the sport and developed athletes who have represented our city, our province and Canada.

Olympians, Commonwealth champions, national team members and thousands of first-time divers have all shared these boards. Excellence is part of our history, but so are the friendships and confidence built along the way.
1981
Thunder Bay hosts the Canada Summer Games.
1982
Thunder Bay Diving Club is incorporated.
1992
Mary (DePiero) Carroll represents Canada at the Barcelona Olympics.
2023
Molly Carlson wins the World Aquatics High Diving World Cup.
